When Alison was 8 years old, she fell in love with a t-shirt her best friend wore to school and had to know how she could acquire one. The answer....swimming summer league championships. After some convincing of her parents, Alison joined her local summer league in Kansas not knowing her life was about to embark on amazing journey. With hard work, dedication, and attention to technical detail, Alison went on to make the Olympic Trials in 2004, attend the University of Texas as a member of the Women's Swim team, become an NCAA automatic qualifier, Senior National qualifier and finalist for over 8 years, and qualify for selection for the World University Games. Throughout her career, Alison spent time giving private instruction and working the Longhorn Swim Camp. As a result, she has developed excellent technical instruction skills. Alison is in her eigth year of high school coaching, with the past six being at Westlake High School. Alison enjoys returning to summer league where her journey began to pass on the love of the sport, develop, and inspire swimmers to dream big!!
Hi everyone! My name is Jessie Penco, and I am very excited to be coaching the Splashers this summer. I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and I have been involved in the swimming world since I was 7 years old, where I began my swimming career in summer league. Throughout high school and college, I had the opportunity to coach both the summer league team I grew up on and my club team. I am currently in my second year of coaching high school, and I am looking forward to sharing my love of this sport with everyone!
